Hello

Yet another Southport classic has been badly damaged in a fire.

Quote:
Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called to Pleasureland Southport at approximately 5.30 am today Saturday 30th January 2010 after reports of a fire. They arrived to find the Haunted Inn well alight.

The Haunted Inn is the last of the original working Pleasureland rides, which represents yet another blow for the future of the site. The long term lease for the Pleasureland site was awarded to Urban Splash and Sefton council have only given temporary leases to Dreamstorm who currently run the park which has resulted in the rides mostly being. travelling ones.

Hello

The front entrance building to New Pleasureland has now been demolished. The building was never used by the current owner except as a walk-through entrance.
