Funny you should post this item suddenly Vince - I was just wondering the same thing earlier yesterday but have been too exhausted to post much lately. It seems a shame, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, that not enough people have yet chosen to "put their money where their mouth is" and donated something to this appeal.
As I think I said before, it also somewhat saddens me to hear that some coaster enthusiasts appear to be not too forthcoming in this particular department too. Even with the additional prospect of having their names put up on a plaque, or similar, within the rebuilt ride structure. I know things are tight this time of the year, but as our American friend Jim has pointed out before there are ways and means to raise some capital if the heart is willing. I also feel that anyone wishing to have cast iron assurances as to the direct usage of their donations, should this scheme come to eventual fruition or otherwise are somewhat causing distraction to the main plight here.
Surely if one is really interested in seeing a classic ride preserved for future generations to enjoy the aforementioned items should pale into significance.
