Dave D and Hairy Vince on Bargain Hunt on 5th March @12.15!

Hi all,

The follically-fortunate and semi-professional Justin Lee Collins impersonator, Mr Hairy Vince and my good self will be competing for meagre sums of money on the above show on the 5th March at 12.15.

We tried to put in a plug for the campaign but they sadly didn't include it in our 15 minutes of "fame".

Just to ensure this isn't completely off-topic, what does everyone think about a Facebook group for the campaign?

Half an hour of entertaining telly to look forward to! Splendid. We've just done some filming for the BBC in the Grotto, which if it gets aired will be fabulous publicity (big star presenting, not allowed to say who!). Similarly, I tried to plug the Campaign but it probably won't make the final cut.

I don't understand Facebook. It's for da kidz no?

Surely the Grotto reached it's celebrity plateau with Paul Martin?

I am a proud member of the "Unlike 90% of Facebook Users, I was born in the 1970's" Facebook group. I'm still down with the kids.

Maybe the campaign doesn't appeal too much to the younger generation - perhaps we should look to the idea again of the Dreamland Rap - are you interested Mr Martin Porter? Someone told me that you were into Scat.

Well, I never thought I'd watch this daytime programme (I never did really like that David Dickison chappy anyhow). I guess the show needs a presenter with some eccentric persuasion to lighten things up, with the wacky abode to match.

I was somewhat dreading viewing this programme due to the above presenter, however his replacement did not seem to bad really.

Back to that painting; maybe one of Dreamland or the Scenic may have achieved a better return than that pub on a somewhat foggy day.

You were both good sports to partake anyway; I had no idea you had any knowledge in the boot fair field. (Maybe some might withdraw my last remark!)

PS My only claim to TV fame was appearing on Channel 5's launch gameshow, "Whittle", with the great comedian Tim Vine (in my humble opinion of course). I won £30 at the time and was rather humiliated by some question regarding Tonto). I'll have to trawl through my old VHS tapes some day and retrieve that for posterity and transfer it to DVD.
