Bembom Brothers leaflets

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

The 1983 leaflet is a 4 page leaflet with the front cover being the text with the name of the park on it!

Depends on your printer and your settings.

There you go. I have updated the page. Click on the thumbnails.
Then when the enlarge icon appears click on that.

Oh WOW what a nostalgia trip reading that leaflet, that was actually the first year i remember going to BEMBOMS as it was then, and the first leaflet i had, and i collected every one until 1995 ish, and then lost them, someone out there must have more!! I always remember 84 had the wave swinger on it, im sure, then the 1996 one for some reason didnt have the Pirate Ship on the map at all when it moved in front of the big wheel (incidentally it moved and suddenly they put it on a much more thrilling setting if i recall)

Also note the use of Ponypark Slagharen photos for Mary Rose (the Pete Pan as it was over there) and their Big Wheel and Enterprise and Ladybird

I also remember having a ton of leaflets form the Bemboms sister parks POnypark, OK Corral and i think one in germany that is defucnt now but there is an interesting website with a map on it http://home.arcor.de/kirchhorst/Kirchho ... en%21.html

As i recall, Mary Rose was in England

Holland had PETER PAN, then the Traum Boot

and Germany or one of the Bembom Parks had TITANIC...agai, a Weber Dreamboat (Mary Rose)

Also note the Zepellin form Freitzpak Kirchorst in Germany was the one we got in Margate i think, well they isd the photos form germany in the promotion of Zepellin when it was the new attraction, and also in the BEMBOM GOLD CARD MEMBERS leaflet. Anyone remember then?
I lost all my stuff when i moved...such a shame, it was my pride and joy

Long ramble over

That 1983 leaflet was courtesy of my older brother. He had hoarded it away for 25 years together with the entrance tickets. I only recently came into ownership of it.

I used to own the 1983,1984 and 1989 leaflets but somehow they have all been thrown away. I do have some nightshot footage of the Scenic in the dark night which I hope to upload soon though.

On the 1983 leaflet you may notice that the artist has rotated everything to the rear of the park by 90 degrees clockwise. (Big Wheel, Calypso, Tristar, Sphinx, River Cavers & Ghost Train)

Also in reality, neither of those Carousel rides existed but the Mirror Maze and Woodland Maze were present and were under the Scenic Railway. Also the Zig Zag was next to the Troika.
