| I went on a ride similar to the Rock-o-Planes at Phoenix Rock Festival in the early 1990s except that the cars spun upside-down 'sideways' instead of 'head over heels'. Never seen one since. Anyone know what this ride is called or if there are any still operating? |

Think you're talking about the UK's only Chance Skydiver, which appeared their several years. 70ft wheel with 16 cars mounted around wheel's rim. Both previous owners William Summers & George Wharton brought it there. Its now at Seaburn Amusement Park, owned by Billy Joe Butlin. _________________ http://www.fair-pix.com

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I had almost given up hope on ever getting a reply to this one.
One of the best rides I have ever been on.
I am surprised that there are not more of them around. |
