I went on a ride similar to the Rock-o-Planes at Phoenix Rock Festival in the early 1990s except that the cars spun upside-down 'sideways' instead of 'head over heels'. Never seen one since. Anyone know what this ride is called or if there are any still operating?

Think you're talking about the UK's only Chance Skydiver, which appeared their several years. 70ft wheel with 16 cars mounted around wheel's rim. Both previous owners William Summers & George Wharton brought it there. Its now at Seaburn Amusement Park, owned by Billy Joe Butlin.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I had almost given up hope on ever getting a reply to this one.
One of the best rides I have ever been on.
I am surprised that there are not more of them around.
