Peoples opinions towards Dreamland

Postby dreamland » 26 Jan 2009, 16:49

im fed up and sick and tired of hearing other peoples opinions towards dreamland , im not talking about people that use the save dreamland forum im talking about outsiders that have nothing to do with the save dreamland campaign , i think us dreamland campaigners should only believe what we want to believe , i believe and i have faith that by 2011 dreamland will and should be up and running by then with a new lease of life, i hate it when i hear people telling me that dreamland wont ever open again ect , but i dont let them know im angry because if they know im angry then they have won havent they , my brother is 32 and he used to love going to dreamland when he was younger and now has a 3 year old daughter but he has no intentions of wanting to take his kids to dreamland in the future and tell them what dreamland was like years ago

Instead of getting angry, look at it as your job to educate people about Dreamland.
Take a few minutes to write a letter to the Thanet council to let them know how important Dreamland is to you. Compose it in "Word" so that it's well written with proper CAPS and punctuation. You want to look professional and serious.
If you'd like to run it past me first, I'd be happy to proofread it for grammar, etc. as I do that for a living and am good at it. It would be my pleasure.

It's all well and good to come here to vent, but if you really want to help, contribute to the campaign (Yes, I mean money. Any little bit helps), volunteer your time, and send letters.

Arguing with your brother, Bob, or anyone else doesn't help a whole lot.
Your energies are better focused elsewhere.

I've written 3 letters to the council, one of which I know was read at a council meeting... and I'm in the USA.

dreamland, I've always enjoyed reading your posts, and like you I sometimes get angry about the fire and wonder if anything will ever happen again.

Personally, I think it will. The mad property-building bubble is well and truly over now. Mr Godden is losing tens of thousands of pounds every week. He will be unable to hold on to the Dreamland site for much longer.
