so who owns the site of dreamland now?
i worked there the first year it opened after jimmy godden took over the site. I hated to see the park all block paved, i thought it looked cheap.
Im quite suprised as well that the scenic railway lasted as long as it did before it got torched
I grew up in margate for 23 years before i moved to somerset, i now live in walsall and over the last couple of years dreamland has become a sorry state. A shadow of its former self. I have very fond memories of being a young 4 year old, taking my first trip on the river caves. I liked it so much i went on it 5 times over the course of the day. i spent a fair bit of my childhood in bemboms, and was sorry to see it shut when i came down in the summer.

The site's currently owned by Margate Town Centre Regeneration Company (MTCRC).

MTCRC is owned by Waterbridge Group and Jimmy Godden. Possibly venture capital money involved as well.

Have a search through the older posts, in the past it's gone through a fair few hands - Stadium Developments, nearly Paigle Properties (now bust) and probably a few others.
