The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

If you used your gold card to get into the park, you used to get given a bag of tokens that could be used for things such as a free post of tea, a free ice cream from a certain shop, free bag of popcorn etc etc. They said valid for up to 28 days, but used to change the colors monthly to ensure that people used them. Not that it really mattered. As soon as you visited the park again and used your gold card, you got another bag of tokens

Those were the days !!!!

Ah yes I remember now the free pots of tea and the like. Yes those were the days I do not think that any other park like Chessington does this.
