The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hi all
Just heard on BBC Radio Kent's breakfast show that there's a Seaside Regeneration conference in Margate today. I guess we will have some attendance there (I don't suppose it's open to the general public but then I don't have a day off until late March now!)
I'd be interested to hear any news from the event if anyone can pass on any feedback.
Whilst on this thread I thought that the "Latest News" announcement of the Southport Seaside talks to be held in April 2010 also sounded rather tempting.

Hi Jim et all - I've heard this event is over two days. If it goes into the late afternoon/evening tomorrow I might well be able to attend (if public are allowed).
I will have to do some research on-line unless anyone can offer any more info on this. I didn't see anything about it on the local TV news earlier tonight but then I didn't manage to catch it all.
