The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

I wouldn't normally post YouTube links of Dreamland footage here as I assume most people can search for them.
But I came across this today - a total of around 1/2 an hours footage from the 70's and 80's in 6 parts.
They're shot by a local called Geoff Dean and the first part is here, and it should then link through to all 6 parts :

There's some good stuff there. Please don't assume we've seen it all before - in my case I haven't!

Look to the right. Looks like he has a lot of the unedited footage posted.

Hi all
Just caught this on YouTube; at about 4.40 mins you can see the Scenic Railway's left turnaround with an overhead covering that I certainly don't remember. (I believe this was the former enclosed finale section). Classic stuff, starting with Battersea Funfair and looks like Ramsgate's former park just before the Dreamland footage.
The link;

There are other parts (1 & 3) that you can also view if you like; some from Great Yarmouth and what looked like Morecambe possibly to me amongst others. Great stuff I thought - even looked like an old former Runaway coaster style coaster featured somewhere.

Looks like a brief clip of our Big Wheel thingy, too, early on in the segment.
