Will this have any impact for Dreamland I wonder?

(BTW... while not connected with Dreamland, I thought I'd mention this while talking about architecture, if Arlington House and Tesco can be considered architecture

a) anything that makes Margate better can only be A Good Thing

b) it's by a friend

c) it's not the Turner Cool

tesco and architecture do not sit well together in the same sentence! a bit like military intelligence.

If what happened in Hexham is anything to go by, Tesco will get their store, but it may not always be the best thing since sliced bread. (Yes, I'm cynical, life is like that!) Personal opinion!!!!

I meant to mention to my good friend who is very nifty with a camera (that's you Claire) that some residents have yellow NO TESCO signs across their windows. It's effective - you can read them from some distance.

Will it bad for food businesses along the front? Probably. Is a Tesco building what you want visitors to a seaside town to be welcomed by? Probably not. Will it welcomed by most everyone who lives to the west of Margate? Probably.

Whether it's a good or bad thing for Margate partly depends on how much Tesco are forced to give back to the town. I hope TDC are being tough with them.

I gather the North Stand for Margate Football Club was granted permission today. Poss more tomorrow.

I think & hope more good news for the future of Margate.
