The Vision

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hi all,

Thanks a bunch for your support to the Campaign and to the new "Vision". Nick has been a wonderful partner in supplying me with all the necessary informations for the design process. I also want to thank Justin, of the European Coaster Club, for giving us access to his huge database of ride pictures.

We are now trying to spread the word the best we can, so please, keep checking the "latest news" page regularly.

Talk to your friends, families, co-workers, monsters in your closets, little fingers, pets, whoever... The more campaign members, the bigger the chances of making ourselves heard.
This battle hasn't been won yet. The fight must go on.

(David: Yes, I do have a parrot face. Have you seen the Tiki show at Disney? I was the inspiration for the french bird. NOT! )

Kind regards,

JMT

Don't worry mate, you just can't keep us off it!

Your vision is fantastic. We are with you all the way. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to help us in this way.

Let's hope that some day, it happens exactly as you describe it.

Bonjour Monsieur visage de perroquet (I hope I got that right!). Of course, I said it just SOUNDED like parrot faced.

You have done a splendid job with the concept design...and it is great to see you post here too.

Best wishes,
David.

How could anyone disagree with these plans, they are fantastic! Oh sorry forgot we are talking about T.D.C., which stands for Thanet District Council or should that be TOTALLY DUMB CLOWNS!, silly me.

Roll on October and the inspectors report, hopefully in our favour and then things can get moving to produce this vision into reality. After 7 years of Godden destruction, 5 years rebuilding will not seem so bad!

Ride the good Ride!
