Question: Dreamland Watch

Postby ricardobugsy » 20 Apr 2005, 14:08

Hi,
Just wondered if anything is occurring on the Dreamland site at the moment with one of the (rumoured) proposed opening dates being only 10 days away. Is this date looking feasible now?

It has been confirmed on the news page that the park will be opening on May 21st which is over a month away, no rides have appeared on the site as yet but as and when a ride list is confirmed im sure Nick will inform us by putting it on this site.

There was a lorry with a long tower construction on it yesterday. Not visited park since November 2003 and have to say the place has really been cleaned up (and out for that matter).

Cheers for that nugget of information Dave.

It appears that I was confused about possible opening dates having read that Dreamland hoped to be open for the May Bank Holiday.

Of course, there are 2 Bank Holidays in May and it meant the second one (21st May) which was always the intended opening date.

Looks like it was just wishful thinking on my part.

Just out of interest does anyone know if the Scenic Railway is being repainted in any new colours? (I was hoping the main structure would be white, as I believe it was when I first saw it in about 1977).
