did anybody see nick on sky news today the reason i ask is it says on the news page of this site that dreamland was going to be on the tv today with nick doing an interview. I watched it on and off through out the day but missed any mention of dreamland (i saw thorpe park).

was dreamland on sky news???

No, Dreamland was not on Sky News. I did a live interview with them from Thorpe Park at 11.40am. But I was told not to mention Dreamland because Sky had been unable to take cameras onto the Dreamland site as planned (apparently, they "couldn't arrange suitable terms with the operator"). So I had to talk about theme parks in general. In fact, anything but Dreamland...

I will update the Save Dreamland website as soon as possible with some photographs of the opening weekend.

what a shame harry would not agree terms with sky it would of been great publicity for him and the park. Just one more thing that does not make any sense so far this season.

Yes, it's very mystifying to me how Sky News cameras at Dreamland to cover its reopening were not considered to be a gift from the Gods.

Luckily, after my night shift yesterday, I managed to catch Nick's "address" outside Thorpe Park's newly launched "Rush" powered swing attraction. Such a shame no mention of Dreamland could have been made. Thorpe's PR machinery appears to be well oiled. I rode that ride last Friday (the originally planned launch day); sadly they had some technical difficulties which scuppered their initial media day plans. Sorry to say it here, but well done to Thorpe's management for their media coup. An opportunity sadly missed by Dreamland's.

I also managed to record it on DVD if you'd like a copy some time Nick! - live TV complete with the usual youngsters craving fame in the background.
