Dreamland Development Latest

Bob, I took the time and effort in my previous post (View from the Medway) to actually make the very viable statement that you deserved your opinion to be heard like anyone else as this is a "Forum" and we should respect the fact that you make the effort.

I was very disappointed as this was a relative fresh subject concerning people travelling from outside the area with a different perspective on much of what we've covered here and you declined to defend any points raised or offer any thoughts.

I'm also quite convinced that you have no real opinions on the matter and are using this website for "kicks" in order to provoke a reaction from people who put a lot of effort in standing up for something they believe in. "Dreamland Development Latest" is clearly designed to do this and quite honestly, I think the moderators involved should really consider whether "Bob" actually is the true representation of who it's claimed to be.

If this is the case, then we should all be very worried that someone in his position lacks the necessary debating skills and intelligence to take part in something that involves contributing facts & defending points with clearly defined research.

I've met a reasonable amount of members to form an opinion on the type of people who are involved in this campaign & have yet to meet someone who falls into your category of "Steam Engine Trainspotter Types" and every one has been an intelligent, professional person - I'll be damned if you can put a label on us "Bob".

I imagine in some ways i'm playing right into your hands by writing this but you are clearly missing the point, whether you exist or not - these comments will only fuel people's determination to get more involved & the juvenility with which you state them makes us want to approach someone in authority with an IQ above the level of Lactose Intolerant Pigeon.

Well, there are over 13000 people represented by the Campaign, even if only a few post here. I wouldn't call that small in number Bob!

Yep - "Bob" works in mysterious ways.

Last time he some spouted some particularly outrageous rubbish (even by his standards) it reminded me I needed to oppose the Listed Building demolition orders or people like "Bob" would get what they wanted.

This time I think he may have just reminded me to drop a donation to the campaign in the post!

Cheers "Bob" - Keep up the good work.

I think Bob should be careful what he is saying. He has stated that Dreamland is to be redeveloped and this is backed by TDC. He also states that research has been undertaken to prove an amusement park is not viable. Perhaps this could be made available to the general public there should be no secrets, after all surely they have nothing to hide!

Is it not law that it has to go to public consultation. If he is saying that the decision has already been made by Godden & Co and TDC, surely this needs to be investigated.

That's very true. I'm sure Bob will keep us informed when the Development Company choose to make such information public. At the end of the day if there is solid evidence to suggest the park isn't viable I would expect them to release it as soon as possible. If they can convince people it isn't viable before the public enquiry starts it will be a big boost to them. If this is all true then any day now...

Yes indeed Neil

you defined that point which in the end is the whole point of Bob posting on this forum and that is to convince people to make that wrong final decision about Dreamlands future.

Great post Neil :D

Thanks Chris,

As I said before I have no problems with Bob poting but please can he stop ignoring my questions. OK, so my one about the cheese was a bit of a joke, but for the other ones I would apprechiate answers. I know I havn't been entirely kind to Bob and if he's hurt then I'm sorry, but his refusal to answer my questions is really beginning to annoy me.

The Scenic Railwaywill be retained and a few other small rides will be included but the rest of the site is now to redeveloped for other Leisure use and will include some retail.

So what other leisure use have you got in mind Bob?

The point is unless several attractions have closed in recent times the site has extensive video arcades, a cinema, ten pin bowling and lazar tag (if any of these have closed it suggests further 'other lesisure' facilities would not be viable anyway!). The point is the site already has a good selection of all weather leisure attractions and introducing anything else would just heighten competetion and possibly result in several attractions closing.

Also leisure has a lot of different meainings and can be anything from a casino to some kind of night club (and possibly at the more undesireable end of what can be called a 'night club' if the one Jimmy Godden owns in Folkestone is anything to go by).

The point of my post is that Bob has wafted ideas about leisure around the forum but it is all so ambiguous.
