Do you have a personal problem with Bob or something. You keep starting all these topics aimed at Bob when he has feelings and points of view just like me and you. Even if his sources and data might be well off I think that we still shouldn't "laugh" at his points of view.

Until Bob comes clean and admits who he is, I think he is setting himself up for this sort of thing.

I think Bob would get a hell of a lot more respect on here if he was to do either of the following :

* State his involvement in the plan to develop the site or otherwise explain his interest in the campaign.

* Participate in discussion, the point of a forum, rather than issuing the same comments again and again with no proof.

So far he's refused to reveal his interest and also refuses to take part in anything aproaching discussion - I feel he'll probably continue this way. It's this sort of attitude that leads to posts like this, if he was to get involved properly I would respect his point of view even though it differs from mine.

Until he does either of the above I'll continue to view him as an unreliable/untrustworthy source whose primary interest in the campaign seems to focus on disruption and hope others do the same.

Anyway as posted before - The only benefit of "Bob" is he reminds me why I back the campaign

Well ofcourse Row Bot is right and Bob does have feelings and he does have a right to make his views known. Then again his approach to telling us his views is not always the best considering this is a 'Save Dreamland' and not 'demolish Dreamland' message board.

To be fair he hasn't explicitly revealed his involvement but when he refers to the development company he talks about 'we' so clearly he does stand to make money out of this scheme.

To be fair to him I can't help wondering whether the development company are using him. At the end of the day it seems to me that he is someone on the fringes who will help them destroy Margate before getting a bit of money as a token gesture.

I would say that we should be trying to convince him that his views are 'wrong' but clearly it is past that and it is unlikely that anything we say will now pursaude him. To illustrate what I mean the development company have told him that they don't believe Dreamland is viable so he confidentally comes to tell us. We then ask him why Philip Miller is so interessted in Dreamland if it isn't viable and it turns out the development company won't tell him that bit.

Our best hope is that Bob will realise that the development company are using him. They won't tell him the full story and they are allowing him to spend his evening taking insults from all of us. He told us that the Development Company represent what most people in Margate want but the recent survey in the Thanet Gazette show how feeble this claim was. It can't be nice for him being this unpopular so hopefully his conscience will tell him what is right and maybe one day he'll be the most dedicated member of the campaign to save Dreamland.

Hi all

Getting back to dreamlands first point, i appreciate that you just like everyone else has their own views.
But we are still certainly not in the position to be suggesting we have had the the last laugh.
After the public consultation, it is still clear that the council are going to refuse to cooperate on the subject of keeping the dreamland site an amusement park this is clear after there latest idea of sports activities on the dreamland site. :(
What the council need to consider is that if a new owner was to take over dreamland, then it certainly would not have the same travelling fair image as before.
Even then it managed to attract over 2 million people a year in a period of ownership.
Oh the possibilities :)

Hi All

I have just been looking at the TDC web site and found this statement under the consultaion about the Margate plan that was done last year

"Most people recognised the importance of the Dreamland site and wanted to see the Council being highly proactive in seeking solutions for it."

Nice to know that thay completly iginore those views, I implore the voters of Margate to think about this when the Local Elections come along.
