Having Your Say.

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Bob, you have entirely missed Porf and my points. What we are trying to say is that climbing walls and pot holing are not disable friendly whereas people with most disabilites can still enjoy many of the rides at an amusement park. We are therefore saying that your argument that the Council want these attrations instead of an amusement park for the benefit of disabled people doesn't hold water.

I was watching the Blackpool Pleasure Beach series the other day in which a group of disabled people went on the Big One which completely disproves your argument.

Our remit for the site is very specific. High quality leasure facilities are high on the list as are the requirements to make them as accessable to people of all levels of disability. They will also be sensitive to the requirements of all religions to ensure the facilities are inclusive to everyone. These will be facilities that Margate can be rightly proud of. They will benefit the people of Margate and visitors to the town. It will be a new and fitting tribute to the Dreamland site marking a new and importent stage in its history.

We can thank The Save Dreamland Campaign for being instrumental in driving foward this scheme. There tireless work has helped bring this scheme to fruition and raise the profile of it.

Thankyou for your kind words Bob. We are glad to show the intentiions and aims of the owners, such as they are, to a wider audience. With your help we, the campaign, have shown the true intentions of the owners to, an ever-incresaing, national and international audience. Your refusal to answer basic questions and provide any evidence for what you say has empowered us even more. Please, please keep up the good work.

Any concrete plans for us yet??? I love the 'importent' [sic] developments. Especially the religious awareness that is being built into your thinking. This is truly fantastic! Muslim potholes? Buddhist windsurfers?? I can't wait. Please, please give us something definite!!

With thanks for your help,

Taffy

Bob for PM!!!

Going back to the original topic I submitted a comment to the Thanet website commenting on the Councils loaded statement in which they said they were looking for attractions with the 'wow factor (hence suggesting theme park rides do not have the 'wow' factor.) The comment they put on their website is:
First the council have provided us with Public Consultations with loaded questions and now they are feeding the Thanete Gazette loaded statements.

By playing around with what I have said and removing my example the newspaper has made me sound like some complete idiot. I am unsure whether my original submition had the typo but they have played around with what I said so much I can't me sure. Do you recon I have ligitamte grounds to add a complaint?

Sorry to double post. I decided to email them about it and apparently they didn't consciously edit my post. There is some kind of a technical problem which is causing only parts of the message to be submitted. It might be to do with using speech marks to quote what someone has said, but we're not precisely sure.
