Bob, one of your previous posts stated that after research it was decided that Dreamland was not viable as an amusement Park. I recall asking for details of your research as I felt this should be made public as I was sure you and your associates had nothing to hide. As expected I am still waiting for your reply on this matter.

I am even more interested in finding out where you did your research, as recent polls by the local newspaper show overwhelming support for Dreamland as a Amusement Park by locals, tourists and Margate businesses. Please enlighten me.

I am beginning to agree with some of our other members who feel you have nothing to do with Dreamland and get some sort of buzz from winding people up. After all, most things you say could be found in any local newspaper you do not provide any conclusive information.

No no no - I have told you before, he get's a child's windmill from the seafront and count's how many times it goes round.

But if he read the BBC news site he might find that Blackpool's pleasure beach has topped the chart of visitor attractions (that publish their figures) again...

"As in most recent years, the top attraction was Blackpool Pleasure Beach, although numbers fell 3.3% to 5.97 million."

He would of course say that this 3.3% drop means (and you can hear him saying) "they are in trouble". But a business with 5.97 million customers paying out something like £20 each is only going to be in trouble if there are serious management issues. Does this sound like something we are used to?

Also you can hear "Seaside amusement parks are not viable" - ha ha ha! - Well he's right, if you have incompetent management!

It's a bit of a catch 22. If people don't have their say this Tony Hunter assumes they support the developers (although it's worth noting they aren't encouraging people to participate in the Consultation. On the contary it's the Save Dreamland Campaign that are fund raising to advertise it). If people do oppose the developers they come out with "well they aren't very thoughtful". I'm a little surpirsed that over 16,000 people aren't very thoughtful and have therefore joined the campaign, but there you go.

I'm also a little surpirsed that at first the developers said they were keen to please the Campaign "as far as is practicle", but are know throwing insults at us and trying to short circuit us from the proceedings. The behavoiur of these developers is quite frankly unacceptable.

At first I assumed that Bob was the only member of this regeneration company keen to insult us, but Tony's episode shows that the entire development company is now keen to be abusive.

"Bob" is Barry Moss, Dreamland's General Manager.

Barry is an employee of Jimmy Godden, he is a loyal employee and he does his best to present Jimmy Godden's case. Jimmy Godden stands to make a large profit if he can gain Planning Permission for the Dreamland site.

When considering Barry's postings, you must remember that this is the man who described himself as "devastated" when Mr G's arcade serendipitously burnt to the ground in order to create "Godden Boulevard".
