Thanks to Sarah, Dave and Vince

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Yes, it's now obvious that James' big goal in life is manage a supermarket or other fine retail shoe or ladies clothing shop. More shopping means more opportunity for the career retail check-out worker.

For the third and final weekend, the Save Dreamland Campaign was out on the streets, this time in Ramsgate. A news item is here:

http://www.joylandbooks.com/scenicrailway/news.htm

I am sure that other campaign members will join me in thanking Sarah, Vince Maple, Dave Dunmall and (from previous weeks), Paul Freeman, Rhyannon Richardson and Alan Cooksey for their efforts in what has been variable weather. And thanks to Dave Collard for taking all the photos.

The level of support we have received (over 95% I believe) has given us a renewed incentive to go on and continue to press Thanet District Council to do what the people of Thanet want it to do. We will be making full use of the results over the coming weeks.

Your efforts are truly appreciated. You guys are the heart of the Scenic Railway and all of Dreamland.

Thanet should be giving you medals.

Cheers for the thanks?!? Campaigning is easy when

1) your fellow campaigners are a pleasure to be with

2) you are campaigning for the morally right thing!

PS Hope you all like the Charlies Angels pose this week!!!!!!

Also thanks for the thanks……!

We throughly enjoyed the day and certainly felt that a lot of people appreciated the time we were putting into the campaign which made the journey up and everything else completely worthwhile and a pleasure to do.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that if the opportunity arose again, we would be more than happy to give our time and if there is anyone else out there contemplating doing the same, I recommend it.
