The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hello all,
Thought you might be interested, assuming if it is the Adventure Island boss at Southend, I've just caught a rather fascinating item on a site connected to my other passion, music radio. It appears that he has just won the new licence to broadcast a new local radio station in Southend-on-Sea. Quite intriguing!
See "www.johnleech.net" for the info; just scroll down to "Breaking News" at the bottom of the home page. (I was hoping for Time FM to win the licence as John Leech used to do a great soul/ dance show on the former Essex FM station in Southend before GWR (God's Worst Radio) took over sadly around early 2000).
I know it's not exactly Dreamland related but I just wondered (how many Phillip Millers can there be around that Essex town?) Perhaps someone else can confirm events here.

It is the same guy.
There was a story going round Southend that he wants to take over the old Never Never Land site oposite Adventure Island.
Zoid on!

Was in Southend on Friday....the place was busy, looked great.
I know it has been said 100s of times, but that is a real blueprint for what Margate could be
