On www.ukplanning.com it says that all applications to demolish the curtilage buildings around the park have been refused.

So does anyone know why the old offices by the entrance to the car park are part demolished?

Did they have permission to do this?

This looks like bad news maybe nick can fill us in on what buildings these are and wheather they had permision to do this. This looks like another one of goddens stunts.

Some of the buildings are protected. Some aren't.
How long has it been like this?

I think it was like that back in February

I visited the site for the first time this year last week and saw that myself. I don't thnk these buildings are listed. I need to check and see whether the buildings fall within the Conservation Area. If they don't, then they can be demolished without the need for conservation area consent.

I can't see whether these particular buildings are mentioned in the planning applications but they feature in the site photos on ukplanning (on the very bottom application in the dreamland list:

As far as I am aware, they did not apply for consent to demolish these buildings, but I don't know for certain that they needed to. If somebody has a bit of free time and can drop in at Thanet Council offices or the local library and find out whether the buildings fall within the conservation area, I can then tell you whether they needed conservation area consent.

I would love to follow this up but living in chelmsford essex means i will not be able to drop in to the council offices in Thanet is there anybody on the campain who would have a spare moment to do so ?
