The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

surprised no posts on this event
seems that a good time was had by all
the park was full of the london cabies and their charges
even meridian news was there did anyone see it on tv? or did waterbridge censor it :wink:

Well to be honest Steve this is the first I have heard of the event, Glad to hear they all had a good time at the park though. Cant have anyone knowing that Dreamland is wanted by people and that people have fun there ! What would Mr Hunter have to say about that especially as fun parks are not viable in his eyes, but of course shops and retail are very popular for the tourism industry !

Am delighted to hear this trip took place. I was, fairly recently, entertained by a London Cabby, on a journey across London, telling me all about the trips and how special they were when they were able to go to Dreamland.

I did, of course, tell him about the Campaign.
