Dreamland Today- Saturday 10th March

Postby Vince, Charlie and Sam » 10 Mar 2007, 17:07

A few photos which I took this afternoon. I thought about posting them on the "Circus" thread, but they aren't all of the circus so I'll post them on a separate thread and if Nick wants to move the thread then that's fine.

Anyone wishing to use these photos to further the ends of the Campaign is welcome to.

Firstly, a photo taken from just inside the car park entrance

The circus is in town...

On the left we have a Ford Cargo day cab- I took my HGV driving test in one of these. Personally I think a circus should run Scammell Showmans and ERF C60s but that's just me....

The fence has been completed and I have to just say that the large grey concretey thing on the right of this picture really does add a certain "je ne sais quoi" to the panorama.....

But no matter what happens around it and in front of it, it's impossible to hide the fact that the Scenic Railway is a beautiful, graceful and artistic structure. Anywhere else in the country this would be considered to be a jewel.

And finally, the Scenic Railway's station canopy has been repaired. The new fence is better than the old fence but in my opinion, it's much too close to the ride and spoils the view of it.

Such a shame to see Dreamland in this state, I wonder if the ba****d responsible for it still has the bare-faced cheek to drive round with the registration "1 FUN" !
