The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

I have only recently returned to this area. A few questions.
1) When the fire destroyed the buildings on Margate seafront causing Godden's Gap what was the outcome of the inevitable forensics report into its cause? Deliberate or not?
( I do not accept forensics not being able to say yes or no too)
2) What is the Save Dreamland Camapaign doing in respect to any submitted planning applications? For instance are they considering hiring counsel to fight this in the courts?
3) What is the SDC doing about fund raising? I haven't seen anything locally, no fighting fund initiative, you can't fight this with nothing.

Until plans are in and passed what would there be to fight in court?
You can ask for a call-in and Public Inquiry - but not simply because you don't like the decision. There have to be strong grounds, and it's not often that a decision is called in.
You can only take something to Judicial Review if you think a mistake has been made in the procedure. It's a very expensive thing to try.
