That thing is soooo cool. I hope it reopens this season or next. I saved enough bonus miles and earned a round trip to Europe.
Saving it for you guys and the Great Scenic Railway.

Another thought.
This is a big pipe dream, but I would hope the local council would declare maintenance on the Scenic Railway integral to the future of Margate and allow the campaign to contract necessary repairs on the ride and send Waterbridge the bill.

I bet you could get some smaller acts to do a benefit. Who likes a good cause? Dead or Alive, Culture Club, The Human League ?
I'm a little out of the loop on fun political UK acts.
